Reported speech with "dass"
In reported speech you convey what someone said – without quoting the exact words. At B1 level you simply use a "dass"-clause in the indicative (Konjunktiv I comes only at C1).
The key point is that the perspective changes: the pronouns (ich → er/sie) and often time/place words adjust. As always in a "dass"-clause, the verb goes to the end.

Note:
- Introductory verbs: sagen, meinen, erklären, glauben, berichten.
- Adjust the pronouns: ich → er/sie, mein → sein/ihr.
- The verb in the "dass"-clause goes to the end.
Examples:
- Er sagt, dass er müde ist. (He says that he is tired.)
- Sie erklärt, dass der Kurs morgen beginnt. (She explains that the course starts tomorrow.)
- Die Kinder sagen, dass sie Hunger haben. (The children say they are hungry.)
