Extended participial attributes
In formal, written texts the participle can be expanded with further details. These stand between the article and the participle – the whole block works like a "long adjective".
der [von vielen Menschen geliebte] Sänger = the singer who is loved by many people

Order: article → extra details → participle → noun.
Note:
- The participle carries the adjective ending matching the noun.
- Typical of news, academia, administration – rarer in spoken language.
- It can always be resolved into a relative clause (see next lesson).
Common mistakes
- ❌ der Bericht gestern veröffentlichte → ✅ der gestern veröffentlichte Bericht (the whole block stands before the noun).
- ❌ die von der Firma geplante Projekte → ✅ die von der Firma geplanten Projekte (match the adjective ending to the plural).
Examples:
- Der im Jahr 1990 gebaute Turm ist berühmt. (The tower built in 1990 is famous.)
- Die von Experten empfohlene Lösung wurde umgesetzt. (The solution recommended by experts was implemented.)
- Das von allen erwartete Ergebnis blieb aus. (The result everyone expected did not materialize.)
Der ___ Bericht wurde veröffentlicht. (gestern geschrieben)
